Advancing knowledge and capacity for sustainable energy

2000-2024 – IFDD

The Institut de la Francophonie pour le Développement durable (IFDD) works to facilitate cooperation in support of the ecological transition and sustainable development across the 93 member states and governments of La Francophonie. Energy planning, energy sector regulation, the promotion of renewable energy and energy efficiency were at the heart of the IFDD’s activities until 2023.

Eneris has developed a long-standing collaboration with IFDD to create and disseminate knowledge and strengthen capacities aiming to accelerate the implementation of the energy transition across the French-speaking world.

Specifically, Eneris has regularly participated, as a trainer, in the POLEN training programmes in Africa, focused on energy economy and policy, and developed in cooperation with Enda Energie. Moreover, Eneris has coordinated 90+ technical briefs and 50+ webinars on energy technologies, policies and projects (up to 500 participants/webinar) and has produced several fiches on flagship energy projects.
