What guides our work
Eneris aims to contribute to a more sustainable and equitable world by delivering evidence-based solutions adapted to each context and client’s objectives.
Our core values are objectivity, thoughtful questioning, purposeful collaboration, and thoroughness. We believe that meaningful solutions require careful analysis, openness and a willingness to question predefined answers.
Maryse Labriet, the driving force behind Eneris
I am the founder of Eneris. I have worked as a researcher and independent consultant for more than 30 years. Based in Canada and now in Spain, I have developed a multidisciplinary yet sharp expertise on the technical, policy and market conditions that enable the energy, climate and development transitions.
My background as a researcher includes extensive work in climate and energy system modelling for decision-making. I codeveloped the global TIMES Integrated Assessment Model (TIAM -WORLD) and applied it to explore energy transition pathways and climate strategies at global, regional and country levels. TIAM is now used by more than 10 institutions all around the world.
Over the years, my consulting work has increasingly focused on climate compatible development and access to modern energy services, more particularly clean cooking. I have provided strategic guidance to governments, donors and international organizations, with a particular focus on Africa and Latin America.
Alongside research and consulting, I taught climate change and energy access at the EOI-Business School in Madrid (Spain), and supervised master’s students in developing innovative start-ups.
I trained as an energy engineer (France) and hold a PhD in Environmental Sciences (Canada), for which I received two excellence awards. I am fluent in French, English and Spanish.
