The SDG 7 Results programme, run by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) is a funding scheme that uses results-based finance to expand household access to renewable energy in low and middle-income countries. This includes clean cooking and off-grid electrification technologies.
Eneris was selected by RVO to conduct a market study on the viability of its RBF programme and the appetite of businesses in the clean cooking sector in selected West African countries (Burkina Faso, Chad, The Gambia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria and Senegal). Specifically, the study provided a detailed supply side analysis of companies operating in each country and able to absorb an RBF subsidy, together with an overview of the clean cooking sector at national level. More than 50 entities, including SMEs, were contacted as part of the assessment.
